The 4th Scientific and Technological Development Conference of the Industrial Textiles Industry Convened in Yinchuan

On June 5, the 4th Industrial Textiles Industry Science and Technology Development Conference was held in Yinchuan, China. Running concurrently was the Symposium on Emergency Security Fiber Products and Industrial Development.

Sun Ruizhe, President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), pointed out that the industry must adapt to changes in velocity, profundity, paradigm, and ecological environment. It should reinforce its foundation through scientific and technological advancements, establish benchmarks to enhance product quality via standardization, strengthen applications to expand market reach by exploring diverse scenarios, and foster synergy to build a robust industrial ecosystem.

Yu Jianyong, a professor at Donghua University, put forward four key suggestions:uphold a strategic - oriented approach to solidify the foundation of original innovation; promote interdisciplinary integration to nurture new drivers of development; optimize platforms and carriers to streamline the process of translating research findings into practical applications; and accelerate the integration of AI to propel the industry towards quality - driven upgrades.

In his keynote report titled "Scientific and Technological Innovation: Driving the Construction and Upgrading of the Modern Textile Industry System", Li Lingshen, Vice - President of CNTAC, emphasized that the industry's scientific and technological innovation should focus on three major initiatives: the breakthrough project for innovating industrial foundation capabilities, the foundation - strengthening project for core and generic technology innovation, and the excellence project for high - end application technology innovation.

During the conference, experts from across the industry value chain, as well as those from application sectors including chemical defense, emergency rescue, power, and firefighting, shared technical reports and engaged in interview - style dialogues from multiple perspectives. Activities for matching research outcomes with market demands were simultaneously carried out, and representatives were organized to visit the Suyin Industrial Park.
